The Museum Ludwig is one of the most renowned museums of modern and contemporary art in Germany. Today the ‘Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst’ consists of more than 630 members, many of whom well-known public figures in the fields of culture, science or economy. Their passion and commitment for art brings them together.
Since 1994 the friends of the Museum Ludwig have honoured each year an international artist with the ‘Wolfgang-Hahn Award’. This award is both the annual highlight of their activities and one of the cultural featurs of Cologne and the Rhineland.
In 2011 the bank started the partnership with the “Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst” and enabled with their support the awards ceremony and the award winners’ exhibition catalogue.
